To get a bird tattoo?or not…
I’m STILL in the library and this is study-break/procrastination stunt #2 …
I have wanted to get a tattoo for a while now (at least 4 years) but something is stopping me… might be the idea of a lifetime stamp or the fact that my taste is very likely to change. I can just picture 40 year old me thinking ‘huh? what the hell?’
I love birds! Hopefully that won’t change and it seems like a good bet for a design. When I was little I started out with my budgies then moved onto an aviary and I added lovebirds to the mix. I have rats now but at least I own a copy of Southern African Guide to Birds! Next phase of my life is birdwatching and that will carry on until I’m at least 80 years old. In my garden at home my favourite feathered friends are Cape White Eyes – they are adorable.

aren’t they beautiful?
(Mom… if you’re reading this I’m only thinking about it and I haven’t made any rash decisions…yet)

So pretty! I think you should do it. x
thanks Annari! There were so many more that I didn’t even put up… I have a whole folder now of beautiful tattoos to encourage me! Getting braver by the day…
I like the little one that can be hidden under your hair if needs be. Remember when you crinckle up with wrinkles it might not look so good any more!!!
haha. Thanks for commenting Lynn! Yes, the wrinkle and fat factor have been accessed. I’m thinking of the side of my ribcage – it’s a bit hidden too. Got to bear in mind I might be in a wedding dress one day and I don’t want to tattoo to steal the limelight from my dress!
Hey kath! Found your blog by chance today and was like no way! It katherine
anyhow – i also had a tattoo idea and thought about it for literally four years and then in march this year i got! so awesome – still loving it and i think its a sign that four years is a good amount of time to think about it but then its crunch time… DO IT
Put a bird on it, everyone’s doing it.
