We went up Table Mountain!
I think living in Cape Town makes me less likely to do the tourists hotspots. I haven’t been in a cable care for decades, so that means I was much too young to even remember my first time. I’m glad to say that I went on Friday! There are two great specials running, the one is R125 for a return tickect for all students (bring your student card) on Fridays and the second is a summer special where it’s R90 for a return ticket for everyone after 6pm on Weekdays. The normal rates for a return ticket are R195 for Adults and R95 for children (4-17 years old) and it’s free on your birthday! If you want to read more about the Table Mountain cable car specials you can CLICK HERE.
The website is a good way to check up on the weather before you leave! It will also tell you if the cable car is closed, which will save you a trip, you can visit www.tablemountain.net to read more! My advice is always bring a jersey, no matter how sunny it is, the breeze can be a bit chilly up there! Before I forget, there is a cafe that you can buy refreshments to either walk around or if you like, there’s a small restaurant to sit down and have meal. The problem is that both are so expensive! It’s R20 for a Bonaqua water! I would definitely advice you to bring a little picnic with you…or even pack your own bottle of water! It actually made such a romantic date when Stu and I went, I would bring my own bottle of wine next time maybe and a blanket, oh, and a check the weather report before!

Yes! Cape Town is beautiful and one absolutely spectacular way to appreciate that is watching the sunset from Table Mountain! A well spent R125!
